Do you only work with WordPress or Shopify?
No. WordPress fits teams that publish constantly. Shopify owns the cart. Next.js plus a headless CMS when the experience or performance bar is higher. We tell you which bucket you're in before we quote.
How do you approach accessibility?
Semantic HTML, sensible focus order, and keyboard coverage as defaults. If your sector or brand needs WCAG-style acceptance criteria, we plan for that up front.
Can you support our site after launch?
Yes. Many clients pair web delivery with ongoing Layer 3 support: patches, monitoring, small features, and help-desk style assistance when something breaks.
What about hosting and domains?
We work with your provider or recommend a setup that fits compliance, performance, and budget. DNS, SSL, and CDN land in the launch plan, not as an afterthought.
We're not in Newcastle. Can you still help?
Yes. We're based in Newcastle and work with organisations across Australia every day, mostly remotely, with on-site time when it genuinely needs a physical presence.
Do you offer site audits for existing websites?
Yes. We review performance, security hygiene, technical SEO, content structure, Core Web Vitals, hosting fit, and plugin or theme risk on WordPress stacks, or architecture and data-fetch patterns on headless builds. You get a prioritised list: fix first, fix later, nice to have. No mystery backlog.
Can you help make our website faster?
Usually, yes. Speed is rarely one switch. We look at hosting, caching, images, JavaScript weight, database behaviour on CMS sites, and rendering on app-style builds. We measure before and after with the same tools you'd use in an SEO or UX conversation, then ship fixes in an order that balances impact, risk, and downtime.
Does page load speed affect SEO, and can you help with that?
Yes. Search engines care about experience signals that correlate with fast, stable pages. Core Web Vitals sit alongside content quality, relevance, and authority. We won't promise rankings from speed alone. We can remove technical ceilings that waste crawl budget and blunt good content.
Can you help build a backlink profile?
Yes, ethically. Links from real, reputable properties, not spam directories or paid schemes. Tactics vary by sector: digital PR, expert commentary, partner citations, content worth linking to. Sustainable authority takes time. The goal is traffic and trust, not a vanity count.
Do you offer article and content production services?
Yes. Awareness pieces, search-led articles that compound traffic, and conversion pages that support leads. Every piece ties to your positioning, evidence you can stand behind, and a clear next step for the reader.
Why would WordPress cost less (or more) than a custom CMS or headless site?
WordPress usually wins on initial build cost and time-to-publish when you need editorial workflows and a mature admin. Custom or headless builds (for example Sanity + Next.js) cost more up front because you pay for tailored content models, bespoke front ends, and performance budgets a generic theme can't hit. Over a few years that can flip: heavy WordPress stacks with many plugins get expensive to secure and speed; a lean headless site can be cheaper to evolve if your model is stable. We map both TCO and risk before you commit.
When should we choose Shopify instead of WordPress for selling online?
If commerce is the product, inventory, promotions, payments, fulfilment, and checkout reliability sit at the centre, Shopify (or Shopify Plus at scale) usually deserves serious consideration. WordPress plus WooCommerce can work for lighter catalogues or when editorial and commerce must share one stack, but operational complexity shifts onto you. We recommend based on catalogue size, B2B rules, ERP and accounting integrations, and who runs the stack day to day.
Can you take over a site another agency built?
Often yes. We start with handover, access, backups, and a short technical audit so we're not flying blind. If the codebase or hosting is brittle, we say so early and propose stabilisation before feature work.
